About Me

I’m a writer, historian, and practitioner of the revived spiritual tradition of the Anglo-Saxons — Fyrnsidu. I live in New Zealand, where I spend my time writing, reading, and exploring the wonderful landscape I was lucky to be born in (and working my day job, of course). I’ve studied history at a postgraduate level, and I’m passionate about uncovering how ancient traditions continue to echo in the modern world.

My path is shaped by a love for storytelling, an appreciation for the old ways, and a desire to create meaningful work that bridges past and present. Whether I’m delving into old legends, the folklore of my ancestors, or constructing a fictional world of my own, I see narrative as a sacred tool — a way to explore the unseen, the ancestral, and the divine.

On the stories…

I write mythic fantasy inspired by European folklore, Germanic paganism, and the metaphysical truths found in ancient stories. My debut novel, The Immortal King, is set in the world of Ardonn, a fictional realm grounded in myth and rooted in the spiritual imagination of the Old North. It was born from a love of heroic sagas, wandering wise-men, deathly legends, and the raw power of oral tradition.

My fiction explores the liminal: the space between the seen and unseen, between history and myth. Through fantasy, I aim to breathe new life into old ideas and give form to the numinous forces that once shaped ancestral belief.

I consider my work to be more than just fantasy — it’s mythopoeia. Like the myths of old, my stories are meant to convey spiritual truths, invite reflection, and stir something deep within the reader. If you find wonder, wisdom, or even just a spark of curiosity in my stories, then I’ve done my job.
